Information about Central Park in NYC

It is difficult to imagine one 843-acre parcel of land anywhere on earth that encompasses the marvelous variety of matchless, picturesque scenes and locations found in New York City's Central Park. But it's very real and it's all here for the enjoyment it provides to so many people from around the world. We truly love our Central Park -- and we're willing to share it with you for your special day! Central Park is two and one-half miles long, from 59th Street to 110th Street and just one-half mile wide from 5th Avenue to Central Park West. The Park includes seven separate bodies of water, 250 acres of lawns and 136 acres of varied woodlands.
Within this urban oasis one will find hundreds of park benches where thousands of betrothals have taken place, the site of countless first kisses, and the chosen scene for more weddings over the years than anyone could contemplate.
Sounds like a lot of fun, right? Why not join in the fun?
Each year couples from across the country and from the far reaches of the globe come all the way to to New York City with one goal in mind -- to get married in Central Park. It is the single most popular destination for weddings in New York, and perhaps the world.
From Wagner Cove and the Ladies Pavilion to Bow Bridge, the Boathouse, Bethesda Terrace, Harlem Meer, Belvedere's Castle, the Shakespeare Garden, Cleopatra's Needle and the Conservatory Gardens, the choice for wedding venues is virtually endless.
As a New York City Wedding Officiant, Rev. Will loves the variety of wedding venues in Central Park. Although he performs wonderful weddings in beautiful and magical venues all over the New York and Tri-State Area as part of his NYC Wedding Ministry, it's Central Park that pulls at his heart more than any other part of the City.
Couples can choose very private areas in the Park where no one else can even get close to the ceremony or they can choose venues that attract a rousing cheer from passers-by when the first kiss of marriage is announced at the end of the ceremony. They can arrange their wedding near the water's edge or on one of the Park's more than 35 bridges, in the midst of gardens galore or in the mist of one of more than ten superb fountain locations that grace the grounds.
Any couple planning a wedding in Central Park deserves the full attention of the NY Wedding Photographer. Often, there's a need for contacts with other vendors, such as Minister, florists, or carriage and limousine services. Often, couples even need help with lodging and accommodations, from bed-and-breakfasts to five-star hotels. Maybe it's restaurant ideas for intimate dinners or recommendations for wedding reception venues.
